Yes, bring money. The same thing might happen again or you could get into an argument with him and need a cab. Also sometimes men do not seem to tip very well so after they begin to walk away, you could slip another few bucks on the table.

Always bring your own money just in case. He probably told you not to bring your own money so you would wait for him outside instead of paying your way in. If he's late again, consider calling off the relationship.

Having money shouldn't be an issue. You already know anything can happen. What he should be saying is that he'll cover for you whatever your doing. Fine, good, you've been invited out, but why would you not have money to be sure you can take care of yourself if god forbid something happens. So yes, bring money, and like most mothers say, '...and a pair of clean underwear.' ;-)

Yes, always bring your own cash. That way, you can pay for yourself without depending on the other guy. Plus, if you're having a rotten time, you won't feel guilty about leaving early.

I'm so old that when I was first dating my dad always handed me a dime for my shoe. That way, I could always use a pay phone to call him to come get me.

I would only bring money in case of an emergency and you need to get home. What if something were to go wrong and you needed to get out of there in a hurry without him!?

Of course you should! What if the guy fakes that whole "Oops I forgot my wallet" - who's gonna pay for dinner then? That would be one embarrassment you might want to save yourself from. :P Just don't initiate on offering to pay - make sure if he offers to pay first. Bring your money also just in case you guys go dutch. Haha.

Yes, always bring money. Just don't flaunt it or offer to pay. You need to watch out for yourself too for safety reasons.
