What kind of relationship would God have with you if he dictated your every action? He wants a real relationship with you instead. That includes having you make your own conscious decisions about what you do. Decisions which may or may not please Him. If you have a heart to please Him, you'll please Him. He'll correct your steps along the way as you go.
As for not loving the world, there's a big difference between being in the world and loving the world. Loving the world means loving the world more than God. You shouldn't have a given friend if that friend pulls you away from God. However, it isn't a blanket statement that you shouldn't have non-Christian friends.
As a matter of fact, if you completely separate yourself from the world, then how can you have an impact on it for God?
As for what different sects believe, well, you can find a group of people who believe almost anything. Don't be taken in by what people believe. Instead study the Scriptures yourself and decide for yourself what you believe. Seek out people who you feel are wise and have good relationships with God for guidance. But remember, the Bible is the real authority, not people.

Actually, He does. We are just always out of tune with Him.
Dude, I have been around the world many times. I have had more jobs than you can shake a stick at. I am married to a wonderful wife and have two beautiful well behaved babies. I have time, money, health, good family, a red convertible, and a big big house. But you know, all that is so incomprehensibly worthless in comparison to Jesus Christ. Don't go to a church. No need to talk to a priest. Tell the Mormons to stop ringing your doorbell. Dude, just pray like you are talking to a friend. It helped me. And I am 100% convinced He can help you, too. Believe, my friend. Believe. The Lord is with you; are with Him? - The Sandy Beach Bum

You start with heart felt prayer. GOD will lead you and you won't even realize it. Sometimes GOD puts you in the right place at the right time, or gives you dreams or visions. However, be very careful with these things!!!
There is much to be said here. "Do not love the world" simply means that we must put GOD in front of everything and everyone in our lives. It is very possible to have fun in a very Christian way. Alcohol, drugs, pornography, etc. may seem very appealing at first, but, when your hooked, it's tough to kick the habit. This may sound hard to swallow, but, keep in mind that few will find the straight and narrow.

Which god? there is a few i love more beneficial than others. If it replaced right into a badass god that replaced into like, "i have been chillin for billions of years and forgot about Earth"... perhaps, counting on what i'm getting out of it. If it really is the malevolent, piece of sh*t Christian god that sits through and facilitates toddlers to die, then no i does not.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He also created free will...We all have a choice and it is not subject to interpretation! The Bible is specific in what you can and cannot do which is why some religions have chosen to change it. Believe me if it was as simple as saying 5 hail marry's and talking to you priest, rabbi, or jesus as Adam and Eve had the chance to do. Then ask yourself why is it we are be punished because of the basd choice they made. Its because we all have choices to make in life and nothing is guaranteed except one thing heaven is better..God is the answer and practice practice, practice. (To be good)!!

I am not personally a Christian, but I grew up strong in the Christian faith.
The biggest thing you have to realize here is that we, as humans were given Free Will. If we were told how to choose in every situation, then we would not have Free Will which was in my humble opinion, the greatest gift we could have ever received.

First of all, God created us to live our own lives
with choices we can make ourselves (good or bad).
Second, sometimes after serious prayer, God opens
doors for something to happen, and you just know
then that it's an answer to your prayer. I've seen this
happen many times. If doors seem to shut, then God
is indicating it's not right. (such as which job, which
church, which house, is this date the one for you for
a lifetime, and other important decisions).

well, I have been searching for God's will in my life, and to be sure that, I am doing what he wants me to . I think that he want us to rely and depend upon him. We must look to him, or we are getting no where. He wants us to put faith in him that he will see us throuhg to the next stage. I think it is a test. He is trying to see if eve tho it may be hard, are you going to stick with him , and do what he tells you to do , ro are you going to take the easy way out. Take care.
