Add gravy or other flavor to his food... then slowly ween back on the additive.

Sounds like you have been giving him people food. He is holding out for more. Try tuff love! Do not give him anymore people food. Within 2 days he will eat the dog food. He will not starve to death. Changing food on him can give him an upset stomach. Just buy one good brand of food and that is all he should get. Once he's eating the dog food regularly, then you could give him a piece of people food like a treat.

Cat food is NOT good for dogs! In the long run it can cause kidney damage because it is too high in protein. This is especially true for older dogs. If your dog is a picky eater try canned dog food. Nutro has good dry and canned food. If you dog will not eat still you should consult you vet. Most dogs will eventually eat when they get hungry enough. Good luck!

no need to try on new recipes...
just don't feed ur dog anything for 1 whole day.. and then feed him with dog food... do it for a week, and it will get use to it. well, if it still doestn't eat dog food, THAT IS NOT A DOG MAN... THAt's An ALIEN!!!!!

Put lesser and lesser amount of human food mixed in with the dog food for about two weeks. Then by the time no more human food comes around, Switch to an insanley good food with tastes like "meat, carrots and such"

Have you tried stop feeding it people food? If the dog is hungry enough, I suspect it will eat dog food. Resist the temptation to relent unless the dog is clearly unhealthy; maybe after a week I'd consider it.

Your dog WILL eat dog food!!! It's TRAINED *YOU* into making it fussy!
#1 Put the correct amount in bowl & give it to dog.
#2 Pick up bowl in 15 mins.
# 3 NOTHING ELSE(but water available) for 24 hrs.
#4 repeat
#5 REPEAT
#6 REPEAT!!!
Your dog WILL NOT starve!!!

Feed him cat food. Cat food is just as good for a dog as dog food is, and he proboably likes it more.

I've heard of going to the butcher and buying ground up meat remains. You might try mixing this with the dog food. The pure stuff makes dogs fat. The ground up meat remains is mostly fat and bones.

Maybe u could try putting a teaspoon of olive oil on dry food and stirring it up. My vet said it was good for their skin too.
