What is the most important thing in a good relationship and how do you know it's real,?

Is it communication or trust, how about the feel of a person,
could we even say that its the sex or the way your mate make you feel. What one thing is it that make us say this is the one

While everything you mention is important, the older I get, the more convinced I am that just plain LIKING each other is Numero Uno.

Think about it: have you ever been in love with somebody you may not have liked that much? Have you ever gone out of your way for a friend, but played evil little get-even mind games with the one you love?

Don't get me wrong; love is important, being sexually compatible is important, trust is CRITICALLY important -- but all those things just come a lot more naturally when you flat LIKE each other.

NEVER BASE A RELATIONSHIP ON SEX!!! That isn't the way to judge a relationship because thats all they could be wanting out of you.. Communication and Trust and both big factors....first comes trust you have to trust a person you are dating otherwise you will never want to be alone with them....and communication comes next...without communication there is nothing to be known and really nothing to want in knowing....and next thing I want in a relationship is the peace of mind knowing that this person isn't going to play games.....ASK WHAT DO YOU WANT IN THIS RELATIONSHIP...thats an awesome ice breaker.

The best thing in a relationship-marraige.. is communication, trust, faithfullness, and work... you have to communicate with eachother or your relationship-marriage will fail, cause neither one of you will know whats going on in your minds....trust because if you dont have trust you will just drive eachother crazy.. faithfullness caues im sure neaither one of you would want to be cheated on...work.. you have to work on things together to grow stronger, and get better and become stronger each and every day.. and most of you have to keep the LORD in your relationship thats the most important and alot of people always forget about the most important .. the LORD...

I have met my one, my true and only love, How do I know, cuz of that feeling I get when he talks to me. I never had that feeling before with any other guy. Also, we communicate so well and I love argueing with him so much. We haven't had sex but just thinking about him and I drives me up the wall.But mostly it's the way he made me feel. And I now trust him again. So it's all of the above

You never know if it is real. That is the fun in it. You put 110% into the relationship and then you still don't have all the control. Maybe you are completely happy and they aren't. A realtionship is what you put into. Dump as much love, sex, sharing, etc. into and you will be fulfilled from the relationship for as long as it may last.

I believe honesty is most important. lets hope they are not telling stories to impress you. I think you "feel" if they are right person. Sex should not be most important but getting to know them and sex later would make it more interesting to me. I guess you will know rather soon if your gonna click.
