My scalp starts to smell bad just a few hours after showering. I shower at least twice a day (often more) but it doesn't seem to help. What's the deal? Does anyone else have this problem?

It means you're over cleansing your hair. Your body's natural oils are needed by your scalp to keep it healthy.

Just because you shower doesn't mean you should be washing your hair every time. If you're sweaty and sticky, rinse your hair, but keep the washing down to a few times a week.

Also, change your shampoo to something gentler, like a baby shampoo or Dove gentle cleansing shampoo. Make sure you use a conditioner (not just a "conditioning shampoo"). If needed, work a little VO5 conditioning oil into your hair to get it back into shape.

Meticulous hygiene includes both cleansing and moisturizing. Make sure you work a moisturizer into your skin from the top down when you're showering that often. Also, make sure you keep your ears clean. The shampoos that get into your ears will start to make strange smells.

How do you smell your own scalp? I shampoo every morning and I assume my scalp smells fine, I have never had any complaints. but if no one was brave enuf to tell me, how would I know, I know my kids sometimes forget to shampoo or do a poor job of it and their scalp smells like a wet dog, in which I send them back for a do over, and it usually does the trick. do you consume lots of garlic or any other food that has a foul odor maybe fish? if someone tells you your scalp stinks, they aren't Asian are they? we supposedly stink to Asian people .

i have been told by my hair stylist to switch shampoo/conditioner every 3 months to help with build up. some work better at striping the old build up off, while some don't work as well. try v05 as a stripper for about 3 months then switch to something else for awhile.

good luck,

because each and every of the smells intertwine even as they practice dinner and scent reliable. it really is not demanding to make nutrition scent reliable. it really is harder to make nutrition flavor reliable. my associates are finished chinese i believe doubt they got here from u.s. yet their homestead is a finished pig sty. theirs crap they deliver about homestead from artwork throughout their the front backyard and lower back backyard and it really is all damaged such issues as tables, refrigerator, washing machines, and so on.. yet on celebration even as they are cooking it smells fairly reliable. yet i really doubt it tastes that reliable. why? merely walk infront of their door step and also you may understand why theirs craps everywhere such as lifeless flowers/animals decaying like fish. Im particular they don't save at a real food market both although the community china city and anybody in my state is prevalent with the china city isn;t very reliable for groceries because it really is been prevalent to carry rats and it isn't even that tasty. that being reported do not enable the smells fool you.

maybe its your shampoo products. try using pureology. that's what my stylist uses and recommends. Its hypo allergenic and mostly natural. its infuse peppermint and lavender for a deep condition that feels great and smells good. if this condition persists, I recommend seeing a dermatologist. Good Luck♥

Do you have dandruff? Try using seabreeze on your hair after you shampoo. It gets rid of dandruff and smell.
