nope I wouldn't do it since its to much of a risk. Even if you have a great car seat, it belongs in the back seat. Also I have heard that air bags can kill small children by suffocating them. take a look at this website it should help you out.

Your child is safe in the front seat of a truck as long as the air bag is turned off. The reason they say no children in the front seat until age 13 is because of Air bags. Of course your child is safer in the back of a car in the center. Also I am assuming that your truck is a newer model since it does have air bags. Make sure it also has the auto lock feature on the seat belt. Which means when you put the car seat in. You should be able to pull all of the strap out and let it back in and it stay locked. Then u would tug and tug and get as much of the strap back into the roll up thingy. If it does not remain locked after pulling out the strap all the way then you can not put your child in the front seat and that means it will only lock when the brakes are pressed. Also make sure the seat is all the way back. If you read the owners manual it also tells you ways to put in the car seat. If you don't trust yourself putting it in take it to the nissian dealership and they will gladly put it in for you. Even the firestation will for you.
ETA: Oh yes and make sure the air bag is off ever time u get back in the car. If your truck is like my nissian Frontier it has a key you insert to turn the air bag off. Just make sure no one has turned it back on.

13 and under must ride in the rear, and be appropriately restrained.
Although the Xterra does provide that switch that will turn off the airbags for the passenger front seat, this is meant for older passengers.

Under new laws being passed as we speak, age no longer is an issue with children riding in car seats and in front or back seats. Now the laws state that children under 70 lbs. need to be in booster seats or car seat. The front seat is also not recommended for any children under that weight.

I think regardless of the state, it is not recommended to have children under the age of 12 in the front passenger seat because of the danger that may be caused by the air bags in case of an accident.

I called the sheriff's office. there is NO law against it. it's not recommended. it's not the safest either. I would turn the airbag off. with car seats, they do more damage than good. it's at your own discretion

children really should not be up in the front until they are about 12 yrs old...this helps in the way the seat belt is positioned on them and the air bag...

No way- not until she is 13. If you were to get in a car wreck, she could get hurt really bad comparred to if she were riding in the back.

NO...if the airbag deploys your child can be seriously injured. why risk it because she wants to feel like a big girl.
