NOT dinner. I dont know any girl who likes eatting in front of a new date! LOL!

NOT a movie either... thats always a "given..." you don't talk during the movie - a girl wants to "get to know" her date... not sit and stare at a screen for an hour and a half. ;)

I'd say something fun like putt-putt golf *no, its not only for young kids - I'm 32 and would love to go!* Or, what about something goofy like laser tag, go-carting, out for an ice cream - thats better than a full blown dinner... and more comfortable also.

Some other ideas:

A museum, art gallery, childrens hands on museum *lol-fun- and not the norm! lol* - a walk through a flower garden if you have one near, the park, check out events in your area.

Things like air shows, laser light shows, comedians, etc... might be in the area. :)

Have fun, good luck! :)

First, a few questions: 1) where do you live? 2) how old are you and how old is your date? 3) how do you know your date (i.e. from work, from school, from mutual friends, a total stranger, etc)

If you live near water or a park, a nice walk and picnic is a good first date -- ONLY if you can do two things at once -- like walk and talk!

If you're shy, a movie is a safe but boring bet. Dinner out is a good standby. If you can eat and keep a conversation going.

If you already sort of know the person, find out what he/she likes to do. Art museum? Concert? Comedy club? ASK her opinion and cater the first date's activities around HER interests!

Good luck!

You need to go somewhere different or they won't find you too exciting. Look for a Morrocan restaurant with belly dancers or a hookah bar. Or go to a waterfall and have a picnic. If they have a fun and interesting time, they will think you're the best and want to spend more time with you.

The usual: a movie (Let her pick and if it turned out to suck don't comment) and dinner.
Don't try new stuff until you get to know her better.
