They don't. However immigration is concerned that actual terrorists could sneak across the border just as the latinos are doing. That's why it's important to have control of the border.

Do you think they think that? It is probable some are just as some Americans are. If you are thinking about border security, though, one big reason is the billions of dollars of our money we pay each year to educate and otherwise support illegal immigrants here.
The other terror reason is that terror, both gangs and classic terror, does cross at the Mexican border:
"It is undeniable that terrorists have entered the United States by crossing our land borders illegally. The empirical evidence of terrorist entry is significant. Several cases are now publicly known. For example, on January 15, 2004, Mahmoud Kourani was indicted in Dearborn, Michigan, for conspiring to provide material support to a terrorist organization (Hezbollah). He had entered the United States by bribing a Mexican official to provide him a visa to enter Mexico, and then paying a coyote to smuggle him across the border into the United States. Kourani came to the attention of the INS while living with other illegal aliens in Dearborn and was initially imprisoned on immigration charges. It was later learned that he had trained with Hezbollah in Iran and Lebanon and was raising money for Hezbollah in the United States.
Another example that has been made public is that of Al Qaeda terrorist Farida Ahmed. On July 19, 2004, Ahmed was arrested in McAllen, Texas after crossing into the United States three days earlier. She had waded across the Rio Grande, and was bound for New York City. Terrorists know all about our porous southern border, and these cases demonstrate how effectively they have exploited it. And since 9/11 we have increased our security at ports of entry, which makes illegal border crossing an even more attractive means of entry. Moreover, we know that Hezbollah and Hamas maintain an active presence in the tri-border region of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay."

The 911 commission report states very clearly that securing our boarders, both Canadian and Mexican, is a grave concern for National security. The commission does not mention that Mexicans are terrorists but rather states that if the boarder is porous that anyone can enter and that is the problem regarding security concerns.
Then there is the immigration concern, which is mostly a Mexican issue on the Mexican boarder.

I hear you on that one. I live VERY close to the Mexican border and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what's the big deal. I think that Mexicans contribute a GREAT DEAL to the US economy. Did you see that movie "a day without a Mexican"? I was thinking about that movie this morning. As I was leaving the house I saw Mexican gardeners landscaping and thought....what would these people do without Mexicans? It's stupid, but just another reflection of US shooting itself in the foot. We recently had a day without Mexican worker strike and it really did affect people. Managers who usually had the day off had to go into work and all of that. The only problem is that it only affected those directly responsible for the day to day operations and they are not the ones ultimately in charge. What execs did was require those in middle management to make up for the lack. Imagine you're a middle manager....what are you going to say....NO? Compare it....a day of more work or no job. I have to admit...I'd just work more the extra day. I truly believe that Mexicans are taking this too lightly in the lack of proactive opposition. This is the only time that I've seen the hispanic race truly divided. One half that says, I have what I need....get yours....and another half that's crying out because of the impending suffering.

I do not think that immigration thinks Mexicans are terrorist- they think they a uninvited quests - taking our jobs (even if no one wants to do these jobs)- using our public works (health care- roads- fire and police departments- schools etc) and not paying taxes... They are also changing the landscape of our country. But than again so did my family who legally immigrated from Italy. They in turn are illegally entering our country. The important issue is that our borders be protected from the real TERRORIST that can enter our country though the same routes of the Mexicans.

Immigration does not think Mexicans are terrorists, but with porous borders, terrorists could easily get through into the U.S.
Not all illegals come here to work, some commit crimes. We have our own criminals, we don't want anyone else's.

Are you sure that you didn't misunderstand, everything I have heard states that there is a threat of terrorists entering the US from Mexico. While illegal entry of hispanics from Mexico to the US is a problem, I don't think that there is much concern of them being the terrorist that we are trying to keep away.

i don't believe that mexicans are terrorist. however if we want our u.s boarders to be safe we are going to have to secure them better and that just means mexicans and who ever else shouldn't be allowed in any time they get good and ready
