Yes, you can take the 1/9 to Christopher Street.
You can take the 6 to Astor Place (Basically B-way and 8th Street)
Take the N or the R to 8th Street (and Broadway)
Take the E to West 4th Street (and 6th Ave)

i know if ur where by Madison sq garden u can take the 1 train to Christopher st and then walk down to Greenwich

take the 1,2,or 3 to time square. take the S to rand central. take metro north to greenwhich village.
