Why, tell me, if you realy believe in god, do you cry when you lose a loved one. DONT TELL ME that you cry because u know you will miss him until you meet him again, cause deep down you know that it's because you know the trueth... that he is gone forever.

Why does it hurt then, if you know that you will see them again? maybe the doubt?

just cause we're christians doesn't mean we don't feel things. My grandmother died in 96 and was my best friend I still miss her. it's a comfort knowing I'll see her again but there is still lonliness that can't be filled.
why do u expect us not to have feeling not to feel pain? we're as human as the next person we all feel loss we just have God to help us deal with it.

People cry because of their loss in the material world. You lose daily face-to-face contact with someone -- it's like losing their phone number. Part of healing is realizing that you can connect without that number. Talk to the person anyway. You will find that they are still there with you. It's much more comforting and makes the grieving period much shorter.

When people cry about a death, they are actually crying for themselves, not the loved one. They will cry whether or not they believe they will see them again, because it feels like a part of you is missing. They cry because they will never be able to laugh over a glass of wine with that person, they will never be able to call them on the phone and hear their voice, they will never be able to complain about their day over a cup of coffee. They do not cry because they are afraid for their loved one's spiritual journey, they cry because the absence of their physical presence is unbearable.

My, my, my... Aren't we the little philosopher catching all the hypocritical "Christias" in their own game. First off... learn how to spell...
C-h-r-i-s-t-i-a-n-s
When my son went away to college years ago I cried even though I knew I'd be seeing him at Christmas. When I went away to college many years ago my Mom cried at the airport even though she knew she'd be seeing me in nine months at the end of term.
Human beings, whether Christian, Muslim, Jewish or hard core atheist are subject to great displays of emotions.... anger, joy, fear and yes, even sorrow. The shortest verse in the Bible is "Jesus wept." Yep... Jesus himself let loose the waterworks. Even as he hung on the cross he cried out, "My God! My God" Why have you forsaken me?" Jesus understood human sorrow and that utter abyss of abandonment.
The Bible doesn't tell people to "keep a stiff upper lip." It tells its readers to love... and with love sometimes comes separation and with separation comes pain and with pain sometimes comes tears.
"Rejoice in all things..." doesn't mean that Christians are dancing in the streets 24/7. It means, as an Eatern Orthodox priest once said, "We sing Alleluiah through our tears." Death is often a lot longer than next Christmas or the end of the school term. I can understand the tears.
So pull in your spurs in and get down off your rocking horse, Junior. Try to think up something a bit more challenging next time.
My best to you
Bill

If you dont have Jesus you cant get to God. and that is sad and it is true what you say for the unbeliever . When you put your trust in what Jesus did on the cross then there is life after death. If we got to heaven on our own god would have to set a diffrent standard for all of us.
