You can open savings and checking accounts if you're under 18.

You can also get prepaid debit cards if you're under 18. You will need parental consent.

You can normally open savings and checking accounts when you are under 18. I opened my first savings account when I was about 11 and my first checking account when I was 14.

You won't be able to open a credit card account until you turn 18, however.

If you're under 18, you need a parent to open the account, but I gave my teens their own checking and savings accounts (I think they are registered as joint accounts so I have access).

So yes, you can open an account, but only with a parent or other adult.

what kind of account? there is no age limit for bank accounts, but you must have an adult on the account with you.
