Its because that was then this is now. The relationship before hand has nuthing to do with the present relationship. Also if a woman starts talking about a ex-b/f, the new one will be thinking if she is really over him or not.
He may think that you are trying to compare him to the ex, and the only thing that will do is cause hard aches for the present relationship!
If you was in a relationship, would you want your b/f to talk about his ex-girlfrieds? how would that make you feel if he did?

You can't start a new and enjoyable relationship living and talking about the past. It's gone, over and should be left there.People in a new relationship should be doing like others who know how to enjoy today not yesterday or two months ago. That is to start out getting to know each other more and more.Communication, having fun, being honest with one another. If you don't the new relationship will be history also.

i don't think it is so much as being jealous as it is being afraid that you still have feelings for them or are comparing us to them. not all guys are alike so don't do it. it is the same for a women. they don;t want to hear about your ex either. an ex is an ex, keep it that way.

It's not jealousy, it's fear. Someone who is insecure in his masculinity is afraid the reality of him is less appealling than the faded memory of another. That's why virginity is SO important to many men. It's not a moral issue. It's an insecurity thing. A man who is secure in himself, who's self-image and self-esteem are strong, is not afraid of ghosts from your past. He is not afraid that he is the one who will pale in comparison.

Start dating men, not tall boys pretending to be one.

It's because it sounds to them like you're still hung-up on the ex.
