Preventive health care is taking preventative measures against a possible condition that may occur in the future. For instance, obesity leads to the following conditions:

1) Hypertension
2) Arteriosclerosis
3) Hypoperfusion
4) Diabetes

By treating a person who is steadily gaining wait, you can hope to "prevent" these conditions from evolving. Therefore, preventive health care is the advanced treatment of forseen conditions.
