Since rheumatism is an autoimmune disease (the body is being attacked upon itself) generally characterized by inflammation, soreness & stiffness of muscles and joints. It is progressive. There is no cure. Treatment is to assist with the inflammation and stiffness of joints.
There are excellent prescription antiinflammatory drugs on the market. Many are injectable. The length of time they are effective varies. There are oral antinflammatory meds and pain relievers that can be taken between injections. Also, it is important to remain as active as possible. Hope this helps. Talk to your physician about the injectable meds. Many of these new meds have to be stopped if you are prone to illness or infection and for that reason, are not right for everyone. Also if you have arthritis in your hands, parafin soaks and soaking your hands in warm water, esp in the morning helps. There are many parafin soakers on the market that can be found quite inexpensive.

you need to find out the cause of your rheumatism. is it because of gout or other things. if it is gout, you can try the extract of Peperomia pellucida (you can find the picture in the internet). it is a kind of herb that can live everywhere, it might be on your backyard right now.
my father ever tried it and cured from his rheumatism.

Go to a doctor that specializes in rheumatoid arthritis. Read up on it on the Internet to see if there are foods to avoid or other things to avoid to lessen the flare-ups. I have best friends that have it and they control it with medications. Both work fulltime.
