Fruit Spritzer (Makes 1 cup)
--------------
3 ounces cranberry juice
3 ounces grapefruit juice
2 ounce club soda

Pour juices in a tall glass of ice. Top off with club soda and a slice of lime. Try using different juice combinations: orange/pineapple, orange/cranberry, or grapefruit/orange.

Spicy Apple Cider (Makes 4 cups)
-----------------
1 quart apple juice or cider (not hard cider)
1 orange or lemon, sliced into wheels
4 cinnamon sticks
12 whole cloves

Combine all the ingredients in a pan. Heat until just boiling. Let stand a few minutes to allow the flavors to blend. Serve with one cinnamon stick in each mug.

Spicy-Mato (Makes 1 cup)
----------
1 cup tomato or vegetable juice cocktail
dash of hot sauce (Tabasco or Texas Pete)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
dash of ground pepper
celery stick

In a pitcher, mix lemon juice and pepper. Add vegetable or tomato juice and mix. Add hot sauce. Pour over ice in a tall glass and garnish with a celery stick.

Squeezer's Fruity Shake (Makes two 1/2 cup servings)
-----------------------
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup low fat milk
1 ripe banana
3-6 ice cubes

Put orange juice, milk and banana into a blender. Blend until smooth. Add one ice cube at a time. Blend until thick and frosty. Drink right away. Makes two 1/2 cup servings. You can use other fruit combinations, too. Try your favorite!

Orange Cream Soda (Makes 4 cups)
-----------------
2 cups orange juice
1 pint frozen vanilla yogurt or ice cream
12 ounces club soda

Combine orange juice and yogurt and ice cream in a blender. Whirl on medium speed until smooth. Fill glass two-thirds full and top it off with club soda.

Mock Champagne (Makes one gallon)
--------------
3 quarts ginger ale
1/2 cup grenadine syrup
1/2 cup lemon juice (clear)
1/2 cup grapefruit juice (clear)
2 cups of tonic water (or club soda to reduce sweetness)

Combine in a large punch bowl and serve chilled. You can alter the proportions of fruit juice to suit your taste. Apple juice lends a nice flavor

I've always sworn by the Virgin Bloody Mary:

Tomato juice,
as much tabasco or other hot sauce as you can stand,
dash of worcestershire sauce,
lots of fresh lime juice,
celery salt (optional, since tomato juice is pretty salty),
black pepper.

Also a great cold remedy if taken in large quantities from the very moment you feel a bit of a sore throat or a bit of the sniffles. More than once, I've avoided a full-blown cold by drinking this stuff by the litre.

Low-cal besides.

Margaritas and daquiris are easy to make non-alcoholic. Just follow the recipe for a real one, but don't put in the alcohol.
