I have hiccups for the past 10 min. No matter how much water I drink they dont seem to go away!! :-( hELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

take a deep breath and hold it for 20 sec. if it doesnt work... ur on your own.

I wouild love to tell you to pray to God for salvation, but somehow, I don't think that would work for you. You can either: 1.) Hold your breath as long as you can
2.) Drink a galssful of water with about a 1/4 cup of sugar in it.
3.) Have someonw scare the beeswax out of you
4.) Lastly and probably the hardest, quit thinking about it.
Now, who says a Christian won't help an Athiest?

Sometimes when you can't stop hiccupping for a while it means you could have a tear in your stomach. If it doesn't go away in a day or so go see a doctor.

Hold your breath while concentrating on relaxing your throat muscles. Hiccups are just a muscle spasm so they should probably go away on their own pretty soon.

Try drinking upside down,
Also try taking deep breaths
because we get hiccups when our diaphram is off from our lungs.

Suck on a lemon quarter dipped in sugar. I get horrendous hiccups and it does the trick!

This is sireous an works all the time ...have a glass of warm water but dont drink it standing rather put glass on the table and bend.

Take about 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar. It realy works. It's the only thing I've tried that realy works.
