Because hunger messes with the mind. It's like the desert-mirage thing. The food starts to appeal and like the pigs in cartoons that turn into sausages before your very eyes, well ... the food becomes fair game.

People will get away with whatever we allow them to. If someone purposely does this, you have the right and obligation to set them straight. As a teacher, I try not to eat in front of my students because ultimately, they will want what I have - regardless if I have bitten off of it or not! If I am eating and little fingers try to invade my space - I just let them know - there are two things you do not mess with - my money and my food. They will get the picture. Just tell them..."honey, if you don't want to be introduced to my evil twin sister, then please don't put your hands in my food."

It's because they are selfish people who have no respect for other people or their property. They want everything for themselves and could careless how their actions effect your life. They take what they want ..... therefore your permission does not matter.

Because they suck, I totally hate that. No one should touch your food unless you say first that they can, what pigs!!! Tell them not to do that.

I had a boyfriend who used to steal food from my plate....my fork digging into his hand put a stop to that!!
