Pico de gallo - Very easy to make. Chop your own tomatoes, onions, jalapenos (very little and be sure they're seeded unless you really like it spicy), and cilantro. You can play with additional ingredients or seasoning until it's just the way you like it.

1 med onion
1whole jalepeno pepper
1 clove garlic
two tomatoes cut in half
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsps water (if your tomatoes are meaty add more water)
Pulse, PULSE,Pulse the blender till the onion is chopped and the tomatoes start to break down int the mix. Don't let it turn pink with high speed blending. Taste

It sounds like Pinco de Gallo.
Just mix everything together by your own tastes. Tomatoes, cilantro, onions, parsley, a little tabasco..use your imagination!

I think what you are talking about is the original "salsa". In Mexico that is what they serve with their chips.
