Well in reality I think if the guy really like you he should be the one asking you out or something, but of course it's not the same anymore so therefore I think you should be straight foward and tell him how you feel, you may feel nervous but hey atleast you tried.

By all means tell him how you feel, dont let the chance of a lifetime get by you. Now if he is taken then that might not be a good ideal. But if he is single then go for it and good luck

first, you should gave him some hints that you like him and then if he didn't do any counter action or something, then, don't be shy, accumulate or your courage and tell him face to face what are your feelings for him, straightly! face to face is the better way to do it, even tough he can refuse, but it is useless always thinking without having any answer!
