This should go without saying, but some of you need reminding. I'm not looking for BS guilt trips and moralizing folks! Get off your f*ckin' high horse!

Read all about Louis Doberman. He took several different breeds and created his own. That means you have to have a clear idea what traits you are breeding for. Any pup that doesn't fit the mold is culled - a polite way to say killed or given away. After 40 years of intelligent, selective breeding you may have achieved your goal of a dog that will "breed true" - meaning two Dobermans bred together will always give you more Dobermans. You won't have pups that look like Weimaraners or Rotties or Black-and-Tan Terriers.

Read some biology texts about selective breeding of plants and animals.

You have to have a REASON for developing a breed - a nitch or need that is not filled by an established breed or you are just reinventing the wheel. It will take decades and there needs to be many people working with it or housing the dogs becomes a burden only possible for the very wealthy. You will probably not live to see them reconised. I can not off the top of my head think of a breed reconised by AKC that was established less than 100 years ago....
Untill then - well the viliperatue here is only a fraction you will recieve from the pure bred fancy.

I believe that the most recent breed recognized by the AKC is the Black Russian Terrier. The breed was recognized in October of 2004 but the process of developing the breed began in the 1940s.

You wouldn't go about creating a new dog breed if you had any conscience at all because of the thousands of mixed-breed dogs dying in shelters because they have no homes. The deliberate mating of dogs of different breeds is completely immoral and asinine. If you want to see a neat combination of different dog breeds, go to your local shelter and adopt a mutt.

All the people who breed or buy schnoodles, shorkies, puggles, labradoodles, goldendoodles, teacup poodles, teacup chihuahuas, etc. suck big time!

for it to be a recognized breed, it has to go 6 generations...I think the "doodles" are the last official breed w/ puggles working to join the AKC

Start from the beginning...with coyote instead of wolves. Other than that, you'd just be making MORE MUTTS!!!!

HEY,YOU IDIOTS!!! NOTHING "doodle"or "poo" or ANY OTHER P-O-S MUTT is or will be AKC recognised. Whoever told you that was TOTALLY full of it. Or out right LYING!!!
