Personally I wouldn't use chemical dyes. My mother did for years and got a cancerous growth on her scalp. My advice being a health food store owner and well studied compared to most on the subject of cancer is not to bother "dying" your hair. If you are going gray just use henna. It will color the grays and is actually good for the hair. All you have to do is get the power and pore a little hot water over it. Paste it on your hair for about 20 minutes and then go take a shower. You'll probably need to do this once a month or so as henna wears off more quickly than artificial colorings. Remember it's not worth your life. I have friends that died of cancer. Nobody thinks it will happen to then until it does. Best of wishes.

I started going gray at age 23..been dyeing my hair for the last almost 30 years..don't have cancer yet!!
As near as I can tell, there's a study being done on everything in this world and "they" have decided that everything at one time or another will/can cause cancer.
Do I believe I'll get cancer from dyeing my hair? NOPE..

Using hair dye has been suggested as a possible risk factor for a few types of cancer, including bladder cancer. We now know that it is not a risk factor for bladder cancer or breast cancer. It may be a very small risk factor for a few types of cancer that affect the blood cells. But if it is, it is only likely to be a very minor one. Remember - the biggest risk factor for bladder cancer is smoking, so the best thing you can do to reduce your risk is to stop smoking as soon as you can.

I don't think so. That would be very stupid actually. Many people dye their hair. They don't get cancer. No way!

people make up all sorts of crap like that, people also think you can prevent cancer by eating chocolate nowadays. I doubt the majority has any major element of accuracy.
