My daughter has been potty trained for about 3yrs now and lately she just chooses to go in her underwear. She sometimes hides and goes and then she is ashamed and starts to cry. Does anyone know what it may be causing this? Concern Parent.

She may have a urinary tract infection. Some times it hurts so bad for them to go pee that they hold it until they can't hold it any longer. They are to young to understand like we do. You might have her checked by her doctor. Get her to drink cranberry juice, asparagus juice or boil water and add parsley. My daughter had the same trouble.

start with a doctor to see if anything wrong. And, has she had any big changes in her life lately? Is something bothering her? Children who are sexually abused will sometimes act like that also. Lets hope for just an infection

she may have a bladder infection or something wrong with her colon/etc? I would have her checked out to make sure I have a friend with a daughter that had a bladder infection and this is what she did

Im assuming you mean peeing if so she may have a bladder infection .
