Kids love color! Whatever you decide, make sure it's colorful and in different shapes and sizes. I would also allow them to help make some of the food so they feel a part of the process. I would make carrots - long and finger-thin, either raw or cooked until tender. They can pick these up with their fingers. What kid doesn't like mashed potatoes? make a small mountain and place green peas in the center or cheese. Broccoli florets or green beans are also pretty on a plate - matches well with the carrots. Most kids love chicken - get the small wing pieces to bake or fry and get some dipping sauce. They will have bunches of fun. My daughter loved bread, but I would bake slices in the oven with butter on top, brown and crunchy and cut into slices, triangles or other shapes, cherry tomatoes are a delightlful sight on the plate- they can also use their fingers to pick up and pop into their mouths. (disguise with lettuce for a salad - they might eat the lettuce too.) Now - all kids love dessert - let them help you make old fashioned jello earlier in the day. Drop a half cup of ice cream inside the mixture and when conjealed - cut into squares, triangles, circles, etc. Bake some cookies, but when the dough is soft, shape the cookie into the first intial of your child's name. Top with m & m's or fruit . Top is all off with sippie cups of water or juice - they will eat til their hearts content -and you will have them eating healthy. Best part - you sit down with them to encourage the meal - eat with your hands and fingers too! They will enjoy it and so will you- I never even had to fuss when it came to clean up.

mini pizzas. Put pizza sauce on an english muffin, let them pick their toppings and cheese, and stick them under the broilerfor about 3-5 mins. If they help you make them then they are more likely to eat them. same goes for most food. let them help, they will be more proud and excited to eat the food.

i have picky children also but they both like pizza so i buy the individual small pizza crust and a assortment of toppings and let them make their own. they like the thought of making it themselves and it motivates them to eat their artwork.

Quesadillas. Add in some meat if they like it or vegetables. Steak, chicken, ground beef, asparagus, onions, tomatoes, chives, salsa. Let them pick out their fillings and let them help you make it. Or.. maybe let the older one make a bagel pizza and let them pick his/her toppings. Good luck!
