What you are advocating is a theocracy. In the Middle Ages the Catholic Church was a theocracy. The crimes it committed were absolutely horrible - burning heretics at the stake, denying people the right to a trial by jury, mandating that torture be used as evidence, going on crusades against other Christians (the Albigensian Crusade), selling salvation, and so on. Read the book "The Bad Popes" for just a fraction of their crimes.
You say the 10 commandments come from God. I deny it. The only thing you can do is jump up and down and shout "My God's better than your God!" I say you are wrong. I say the Bible consists of folklore, mangled history, prophecies written hundreds of years after the fact, lies and myths. I spit on your scriptures.

Yes. Our country's laws were based on the 10 Commandments. People misused them for their own agendas. Because these Commandments were poorly used, all "hell" broke loose. Things have gone awry in general.
By the way, thanx 4 the e-mail.
We'd have less murders, etc.

I don't care about the laws that made by man because they can't save me nor give me eternal life. So, I do whatever the Lord said and follow the bible. These laws today can come after. No one can make any changes to the Commandments, they were made for every man to follow so they have no choice.

Absolutely not!! Not all people believe what you believe. You cannot change religion to laws. Again you and your friends will try anything to rule this country. I don't mean to rant but it makes me crazy!! You can believe what you wish. God, Jesus parting of the Red Sea. whatever. But you cannot force your beliefs on others. God weeps because of people like you!!!

No. The only way to do that would be throwing out the constitution. Do you really want to give up the very freedom the pilgrims and founding fathers struggled to protect? The right to freely practice the religion of one's choosing.

No. I rather not be sited under the second commandment for stubbing my toe and screaming "God damnit!"
What misery it would be.
Why couldn't the bible have been written by Satan? Name a text in human history that has caused more suffering and injustice than the bible.

uhm. fellow christian let us take note that Jesus Christ before only existed in Israel. africa, saudi arabia, malaysia, china, japan, and other countries also beleived in god but calling them differently. make sure that the ten commandments will suit their beliefs as well. but, good luck with that.

Agreed. However, since there are a multitude of faiths and beliefs in this world it is improbable that this could satisfy everyone's needs.
