isnt a peaceful religion, why be in it? i hear so much about muslaim terrorists, and about in school that the Koran says to kill all non- believers. i really don't get it? please explain the glory of it, even if it is not at all peaceful.

There are so many commands to kill unbelievers it is ridiculous. The only mention of peace is if/when the unbelievers join muslims, and it is peace from the muslims!

Allah is a side note at best in the Koran. The Koran is a war book designed to be a religion.

The have a whole book about splitting the loot from raids, called The Spoils Of War.

I am Swedish Catholic, and I have studied the Koran for quite a long time now. And let me say that Islam means peace. So They are peaceful people, but in this world there are hypocrites, those are the terrorists and suicide bombers. Note that they belive they will go stragiht to hell if they commit suicide. And about the killing of non-believers, that is true. BUT it was telling Mohamed to kill the non-believers at his time, and not just non-believers, but the ones who wants to kill muslims...it's like a self defense. So it doesn't tell them to kill the non-believers now in the present.... The bottom line is that not all muslims are terrorists, and all the terrorists who claims to be a muslim is a hypocrite.

It is a peaceful religion. I don't understand why people say it is a religion of terror just because a few people who say they are in Islam are bad.Many people are bad and they are from different religions. Why don't people say things about there religion's people. And by the way it doesn't say in the quran that we (muslims) have to kill all the non-believers. If it did there wouldn't be anyone left in the world but Muslims.

No, Quran doesn't say to kill all the non-believers, in there it's written, to try hard to make the other people become Muslims also, but by their free will only, not pushing them, but by making them understand the real meaning of Muslim religion, which is very peaceful indeed, but the extremists are making it as a devilish religion!

I'm a Muslim and Islam brings peace,stability, and because it I lead a better life. I don't hate nor wish to kill non-believers nor does my religion teach me that. There are terrorist in every religion, singling them to Muslims is unfair and ignorant. What drives people to terrorism is injustice. Not the Quran. The Quran, often misquoted only tells us to fight in self defense (people who fight us for our religion and drive us out of our homes) and if the enemy offers peace we MUST accept it. Never in any circumstances does the Quran allow the killing of women, children, and non-combatants or even destroying plants during wars. Terrorist go around killing Innocent people, you can not be both a Muslim and a terrorist. Islam forbids terrorism and what you see in the media as well as being bias is a political war. Islam preaches good values, I mean we are not even allowed to kill an ant never mind Innocent civilians.

Islam does not say to kill all non-believers these are horrible rumours that are spread around by racist. Islam encourages Muslims to be good to non-believers and to pray for them that they live a happy life and maybe one day they may turn to Islam as well.

Firstly the Quran never said to kill all non believers. Just killing one person ( muslim or not) is one of the biggest of the big sins. Except when you are fighting in war. You are only allowed to kill the person who is actually attacking you, but you cannot damage his property.
Just because those people ( the " Muslim terrorists) are Musli ms, and are doing the stuff they are doing does not mean they are doing Islam. Even if they claim its for " the sake of Allah(SWT)". Nope, Allah(SWT) disapproves of those kind of actions.

It is a peaceful religion. Islam literally means surrender peacefully to God. Everyone has the idea of it twisted. In the holy book, it says kill the non-believers who are KILLING YOU, killing you women and children, stealing your land....
