sometimes opposites attract, have you seen The Maury show, it had on his show 1 time, couples that were in love and they were complete opposites: a 7ft guy with a 5ft women, a 300lb women with a 115lb guy, a punk rocker guy with an average looking women that is a secretary for work. just a few examples.
and they didnt care what society, relatives, family or neighbors thought, they loved each other. thats all that matters.

If your only talking about appearance wise, then yeah I guess you both would make an odd looking couple. But if you both are happy and you both get along, then everything else shouldn't matter. I'd rather have someone bigger than me, than him smaller than me. Don't worry about what others think.

Love should not see colors. My friend at work is a big black man,and his girl friend is a little white girl. They love one another very much. So to answer you no it is not odd to see.
