The greatest poetry the world have ever recorded is Islamic. Eat your heart out.
The Noble Quran, chapter 26:
[224] And the Poets, it is those straying in Evil, who follow them;
[225] Seest thou not that they wander distractedly in every valley?
[226] And that they say what they practise not?
[227] Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take!

Look at why the surah was revealed, look at the biographical reasons. Read the hadith and stop being so ignorant. Allah does not dislike his creation, except those that err and dedicate themselves on the side of evil

I don't think that's true, since there was a friend (Sahabi) of prophet Muhammad who was a poet and used to write peoms to motivate muslims.

I don't think that it is true...it just depends on WHAT kind of poetry you are writing. I think the prophet encourage poets because they were enlightened and smart.

where are you getting your information? Quran does not prohibits poetry. infact based on Hadith one Muslim should try to learn the arts of poetry.
also from Quran you can't just take a verse and take the literal meaning of it one must inturpret it. and for that one needs a scholar. none of us online are scholars, if you have questions about Quran try to talk to a Scholor.

Most people denied with you. Same thing happened with all of your questions. So it seems that you are utterly turned down. I wouldn't say that stop asking such questions. Keep asking, I love to see how you are always rejected & scrapped by most people which make your efforts futile.
"Deaf, dumb and blind, they will not return (to the path)." (Al-Quran 2:18)
