Do you think our soul leaves the body, and goes somewhere else --- like ahead in the future? Because it has happened to me several times that I have "dreamt" about an event even before it happened. I don't feel scared. I'm just curious how it works.

This is an interesting site you may want to visit.
Once (about 30 years ago)I had what must have been an out of body experience. A friend from school invited me over her house for dinner, I had known I was going for a few days before I went. Anyway, when I got there, as I walked through the foyer I got the picture in my head of the entire room, including a huge picture of a lion and her cubs, After Walking through the long foyer, there it was, the whole room, the picture, everything just as I had seen it moments earlier! At the time I had no no idea about astral travel or oobe's. I came to think, years later that I had "visited" her house during my sleep and that's how I knew exactly how the room looked! What you described in your question, tho, sounds more like premonition, this is a very interesting topic too.I think we should pay attention to our dreams and also get enough sleep so that we can have them!

In sleep, your body goes into a restful state. The soul stays with the body. If sleep interests you, there are a number of schools that put on courses about sleep physiology.

I think when we are asleep our brain relaxes and because of that sometimes we have strange dreams with no logics and weird feelings. Nothing more than that.
