Most theologians call this verse the "Proto Euongelion" which means "the first Gospel." If you read the verse in context, you realize that what Adam and Eve has just done resulted in curses. They had been created to God, given control over all of creation, and lived in a Paradise, and God asks them to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth (Gen 1:28), instead they do the one thing that they are not to do which is to believe the Serpent and eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. So, they were rightly cursed, but not only them, but because of what they did even the rest of creation and future generations of men and women are cursed. Yet, we see in Gen 3:15, the first promise that someone would come and repair what Satan corrupted. So, even while God was communicating punishments to Adam and Eve, He gave them great hope to know that someone would one day be born who would "reverse the curse" as we say in Boston! Yes the very first prophesy.
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Hatred between Satan's children Kenites and Eve's children.
Eve is the mother of all living because umbilical cord to umbilical cord would come Christ.
God's elect will bruise Satan's head in the soon future. When they are delivered up before the beast.
Satan's children the Kenites bruised Christ's heel when He was crucified.
