I can't give you and exact number, but I can give you a guesstimate.
For instance, in some states, such as Louisiana, New Mexico, Mississippi, Delaware and South Carolina, 42 percent of all children are born out of wedlock. The national average is a stark 36 percent.
So...if approximately 75% of Americans identify themselves as Christians, then in LA, NM, MI, DE, and SC, 31.5 % of Christian children are born out of wedlock. As a national average, 27% of Christian children are born out of wedlock.

why do you care? And even if there are children who were born out of wedlock. It's the parents fault. But, since this is answers... I'd say many.(not that many though)

This is such a sad question. When we need to begin targeting children for derogotary labels and judgements, that is just plain too sad for words. I hope someday this individual finds some inner peace so he may not harm himself. His soul must be in such pain to wish to hurt children. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. Blessed Be.

I would say that that info is between them and God. There are no illegitimate children only illegitimate parents.
