adult male sexual behavior? I say it depends on the maturity of the kitten itself, my sister says not until he is a year old or so. What do you say? The male kitten in question is a yellow tiger tabby kitten and is a strickly indoor kitten. He does not have any other kitten to play with. He has his toys and his owners to play with him and enjoy him.

We are looking for opinions...what do you say? Share with us what you know from your own experiences, tips. Thanks!

The kitten in question is 12 weeks old. He is "practicing" his mating skills on my sister's blankets, but so far isn't spraying anything. Can she get him fixed now or is he too young?

Are we to assume that 12 weeks is too young for a male kitten to "feel his oats"? Wonder why he is over stimulated so soon? Could this be, because his owners are female?

Has anyone out there heard of a young kitten now 13 weeks old to have this happen now?

My male cat did that early too, but, stopped once we got him fixed. Its just a curious natural thing with cats, some mature earlier than others. Ask your vet if he is too young, some have been doing it (neutering) at a younger age these days. The nice thing about it is, they never get to be territorial, which means they never start spraying, and once they get neutered, they never will, as long as you have it done early enough.... They make such nice loving pets..

We have 2 males, and 2 females, all indoor cats, and I swear the males squat lower than the females do, when they go potty! So keep on top of it, and get him neutered as soon as you can, before he starts spraying.

One of my kittens was neutered at only being 8 weeks old at an animal shelter where we got him, the other kitten we have now, we received from a friend. Our veterinarian would not neuter our kitten until he was 6 months, where he would be more developed "down there."

However, he started spraying at about 5 months and started showing sexual behavior at that time as well, he basically cried A LOT.

What I'm saying is, it really depends on the cat, he will start showing signs before a year though, because after a year he is fully developed and no longer considered a kitten.

Usually from 5-7 months old. BUT--a kitten can be neutered as soon as you can feel the testicles.... my cat was fixed at 2 months of age, and has been an excellant companion for 10 years.

You can NOT live with a whole cat in the house. He will start spraying everything with urine when he starts feeling his "oats" and it can't be washed away !

Some vets are actually neutering kittens when they're only a few days old, so his age isn't a problem as far as having him neutered. You'll have a lot less problems in the long run if you have him fixed now: He won't be inclined to "spray" and mark his territory, he won't have yeowling fits trying to get out and make conquests with females, and he'll be a lot less likely to get testicular cancer. Get him "fixed" asap.

Well if he's been neutered than he probably never will..Otherwise he will probably start to show aggressive type behavior around 6 months of age. If he is never exposed to other cats he may not become agressive at all, but he may start to show increased interest in going outdoors. Once he gets out expect him to become more agressive. It would be better to get him fixed.

You can get a cat fixed as early as nine weeks as long as they weigh more than 2 pounds. Get your cat fixed before he reaches maturity. Some cats will spray even after they are fixed if you wait too long to get them fixed

They can start at about 6 months. Believe it or not. Six months is equal to a 13 year old human.

take your cat to a vet. He may need to have shots. You can take the cat to a vet to see how old he is. I have a female cat, i got from a animal shelter, they told me she was four months old.I took her to a vet. and found out she was six months old and pregnant. I had her fixed.
