Let him do it. It's harmless and it's not porn. Even better: Sit down and watch it with him. Get him to explain the plot. Show an interest. That way, you get to spend time with him AND he gets to do what he likes.

Why not dress up as his favourite female character and ask him to play when he's done?

I love the show. It's addictive. I'm sure there are shows you like that would pull you away from your fiance.

The best solution I've found is get a Hard drive recorder like Tivo or one of the other ones. They're getting really cheap now. He/She can set it up to record the shows and when they have free time they can watch.

ORRRR for birhtdays/christmas, you can get him/her the star trek season sets and then he can watch them whenever and can pause it.

Get Basic Cable. Basic Cable doesn't have the Sci-Fi channel anymore. There is nothing else you can do, but learn to like the Sci-Fi shows or watch something else in the other room. If it continues, you could always disconnect the T.V. entirely.

read a book, go for a walk, play on the computer, there's lots of things you can do. just leave him alone and let him have his sci-fi. it's only a couple of hours a week. don't be so needy.
