OK, so all it is is years -- then you won't mind waiting 3 years until the ages are 19 and 16... Love is patient.

There's a huge difference in maturity between a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old.

I am assuming you are the 16y/o in my response.
There's nothing 'wrong' with a 16 y/o dating a 13y/o (so long as it's just dating)' Society sees the 13 y/o as a child and as much as there is only 3 years between you people will see you as an adult now and deem you sexually aware. With this in mind they wonder why you would want to be with a 'child'. So long as you are responsible about this and do not try to pressure them for sexual encounters there is no reason why your relationship should not continue.
You may find however, as you develop yourself that you start to notice teenagers nearer your age more compatible and in turn maybe see this 13 y/o as too young for you. Be sure to respect them and be diplomatic in breaking this relationship up as they will not be as mature as you in dealing with it.

The problem is as much socially as perception, and contrary to some beliefs girls hit puberty anywhere from eleven to fourteen...according to my wife :grins: but so many fear the intentions of the older. Still as long as you take it slow and let the relationship grow with the years it is no terrible thing. Age is a number that marks the year's passing, but as long as the two hearts in a relationship care for each other, then all is well.
Hope this has helped your question.

It's legal (I think.), but I wouldn't suggest. Differences in maturity, both mental and physical. And what 16 year old would date a 13 year old. Most older teens prefer people closer to their age.

Her Daddy was once 16. He knows what 16 year-old boys think about most of the time, he thinks!

nothing its fine. as long as u 2 wanna be together its fine. its still legal. if u 2 love eachother there shouldnt be anything wrong with it. just dont be a bit surprised that the 13 year is a bit immature at times. cant expect em to be perfect. If u two love eachother there is NOTHING wrong with it at all :)

You should go out with someone older and not younger. If you are a guy and she gets pregnant, you'll be in trouble. If the person is older, then you don't have to worry that much because the mother is older and don't have to wait on you to get a job. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't step up to your responsibilities.

its not only years but how you act at a certain age...u should try at lease 15 years old. 13 year old kids needs a little more time to learn bout relationships.
