Do men like women who cook, because most men love women who know how to cook. I want to know why?

Only if they can cook good. My ex was an awful cook. I had to eat her food whenever she cooked something and hope that I didn't choke, gag, or make awful facial expressions.

I like to cook for my wife and myself. She cooks very well. I can tell you, for myself, that she did not win me through my stomach even though I am a real foodie/gourmet. If she did not cook well I'd be just as happy cooking for both of us, but that's because I enjoy it. I will say though, that the father of the first girl i ever fell for at age 12 owned 2 Dunkin Donuts shops. Another woman that I was in a serious relationship had been to culinary school. You can't go wrong with being a good cook if you are trying to impress many men.

I think women keep the kitchen tidier while cooking than men, in general women make healthier food and give more thought to specific flavors so the meal is cohesive vs. throwing everything from the spice rack on the meal :) That said, I like when my BF cooks. He actually DOES cook healthy even though he destroys the kitchen and uses every spice/herb in there. Also, I think women have a bit more attention to detail in the kitchen and that's why women, on average, are more interested in baking and are therefore better at it than men. Ex. You can throw a little of this and that on chicken and in the oven it goes BUT to make a cake, you need very specific measurements of flour, butter, eggs etc.

Most of the men I know love women who can cook, for many reasons, they don't know how are want to cook, they like someone taking care of them, they have a mommy complex, they feel like you care about them by doing things for them.

Most men love women who can cook and take care of them and the family. They believe women are better house wives than working outside of their homes.

of course!! You've heard the old saying.. you can get to a man's heart through his stomach. Pretty much... men Love their mother's home cooking. And if their girlfriend fits all the qualifications they know how to cook.

Because all men just want a woman to take care of them. Cook, clean, iron their clothes, etc.
I know its archaic and totally sexist, but its true!
Men want a woman who emulates their mother -- and thus does all the things for him that his mother did.

Men like a woman who knows her stuff in the kitchen... it's like the role and skill for a woman to know how to do these things. I enjoy cooking for my man.
