Is it at 3 months, 5 months, when it’s born? What is the exact date? When would killing the baby be considered murder? Also, how do you make that distinction? Serious answers please, just trying to understand.

If you curious as to why, read my blog on my 360 page.

There are several thought processes on this.

The first is that because the cells are alive and it is inside another living body, that the fetus is always alive. This is the train of thought that most pro-life people follow.

There is another train of thought that we prescribe to. We believe that if you characterize a person's death by the absence of a heart beat, organ function, and brain function, then we feel as though that's when the beginning of life should be characterized as well. Testing for these things can be accomplished around the end of the first trimester.

There's also another train of thought that a life does not begin until the new body has the ability to sustain itself on it's own, or once it is 'cut-off' from the host. This is why partial birth abortions are allowed. The fetus is not yet out of the body when it is destroyed, so it is still not considered a life.

There is a great deal of debate about this topic and it is a real hot-button issue. Everyone will have their own opinion about this and some of them will be mean and nasty, on both sides. The end decision will be yours to make and you'll be the one that has to live with the choice, either way.

Good luck and if you need someone to talk to, please let us know. We'd be happy to help.

The moment that an egg implants into the womb before fertilization.

You pro-life people don't understand life. It doesn't start. It continues.

The thing of it is that most eggs die. Most sperm die. Most embryos die(common cause of late periods) naturally. Do we call nature murderers? no.

A fetus is no better than an egg or a sperm until it is capable of living with no external support. That is not usually possible until 7 and a half months are over with. An abortion that late is abhorred by even the loudest advocate of pro-choice. It would be better at that point to put the child up for adoption and see if the government is capable of finding a family for the child.

Now you still don't understand even if you understood that above. What happens if you make abortions illegal? Adults start dieing by the thousands trying to get rid of the child(accidental suicide). This has been proved true in every country where they have actually been effective in stopping abortions. Which aren't many.

You aren't going to save lives by making abortion illegal. There are too many self appointed moral police in this nation for that to be possible. Most people care more about how society views them, then they care about their children or friends. Don't believe me? How many churches say that you shouldn't love anything more than God, or some churches it is Jesus. There are a lot of them. Many of those churches will punish people who don't follow their rules. Pregnancy and sexuality is usually on the top of the list of things to punish in religion.

I can't answer your question from the "pro-choice" point of view. I can answer it from Scripture. The problem is, you won't like my answer.

According to His Word, when does God consider killing an unborn baby to be murder? When doesn't he? Did you know He gives a specific answer? One the pro-life people don't like very much? One that you, as a Christian, have probably never heard?
Dust off your Old Testament. Look at the Law concerning the punishment for a man who strikes a pregnant woman, causing her to lose the baby.
Assuming the Bible is God's Word, assuming it gives us a clue into how He feels on the issue....
If the child had not yet "quickened" (moved in the womb), then the abortion was considered a simple assault. If the child had quickened in the womb, then it was considered murder.

If this was God's law, if this is His Word, if this is how He views the issue... well, you have your answer, don't you?

I warned you you wouldn't like it.

Pro-choice don't believe a fetus is a human being until it has passed completely out of the birth canal and is breathing on it own. Some pro-choicers think killing a baby shouldn't be a crime until the child is 2 years old. I am not pro-choice and believe a baby is a person at the moment of conception.

It's an interesting question, because when Roe -v- Wade was first thrust among the American people, that was exactly the argument. The pro-death side argued their eyeballs out that there really was not life there until a certain point (which constantly changed). When science irrefutably proved them wrong, they floundered for a while until their heroine, Geraldine Ferraro, popularized the phrase "pro-choice". Which is another non-issue, cause it can be used for any argument (I personally would never rape anyone, but I don't want to force my beliefs...)

At the moment of conception, the cells start to go through a process in which they divide. This is the moment the unborn receives a soul. When the sperm and the egg merge--that's life!
Also, if something like ripping a baby from the womb in many bloody pieces, stops it's heart from beating, How can people say that isn't murder? To every person who is pro-murder, I suggest you watch a live abortion, using every method. I have! It's disturbingly disgusting! Made me know, that it truly is murder to abort a child. Their blood screams from the ground for revenge in which , eventually, God will get for them. God is life. He hates hands that shed innocent blood. Satan is Death. He loves to kill, steal and destroy.

Some place it at when the fetus is viable others at consciousness....around 24 weeks give or take. However most pro-choicers realize that there are cases in which an abortion could have to take place after that for medical reasons. These cases are rare and are done to save the life of the mother.

Are you looking for a scientific response, a gut feeling, a spritual or personal.

My spiritual well being:
Life begin when you draw breath and ends when you no longer can breath or think for yourself.

I'm not a scientist but...
Life begins at birth.

The law...
Criminalize the murder of Scott Petersen's wife and the "unborn fetis"

Pro-Life
Declares womb to tomb... hence for them life begins at conception.

Personally;
The churches should baptise, confirm, bury, etc, but need to stay out of the law.
It is truely the woman's body and hence her choice. If men were to take responsibility in that decision, then he should have no problem with abstaining, or use condom's or prepare to raise the child. The woman should NEVER be compelled to carry the child to term, unless she CHOOSES.

You asked, I'm answering as honest as I can.

i detect this is humorous that you're hostile to a stance that enables women supply start and undertake. professional determination skill we favor women to have a decision in what they do about their being pregnant. on your 1st aspect. Fetus is yet another be conscious for slightly one, i comprehend that. yet, i do not beleive a develping toddler has "personhood" yet. on your 2d aspect. you're genuinely proper, i detect it very humorous that human beings use this arguement. third aspect: i do not study baby abuse prices, yet I did purely come for the length of an editorial the different day about a guy who overwhelmed his newborn daughters cranium with a cinder block because him and his girlfriend "couldn't locate the money for yet another toddler." many years in the past, the position I stay, a youthful lady strangled her newborn toddler including her thong underclothes and threw it over her neighbours fence. i imagine this is extra efficient to have an abortion contained in the first trimester as hostile to killing a newborn toddler. As for undesirable little ones, i have met them. I had a chum in highschool who became 14. His moms and dads were properly into retirement. His sisters were 30 and 33, he became obviously an coincidence, and his moms and dads resented him surprisingly. He suffered because of that. sure, there are distinct those who favor to undertake a newborn toddler, yet there are thousands upon thousands of youngsters in foster care that are missed. i am going to continually be professional-determination, and desire that once you change into pregnant, you've each option accessible to you that you want.
