My dear, our emotional heart is quite like glass, it can be broken, and repaired, but it's never quite the same after wards. I right now have a broken heart, and it feels so small, so shattered. It's because we loved someone who didn't love us back, or at least not like he should have. Love is euphoric, quite like a drug, and once it leaves, you go through with draws. Ask anyone what it's like to quit cold turkey and that's how it feels when your heart's broken. That's why it hurts so bad.

It's a biological bond that increase the probability that offspring will be cared for.
Otherwise people would mate like fish and let the offspring fend for themselves from day one.
If you had thousands of eggs, there would be no need for a biological bond, but mammals that only have 3-6 young need parents to care for them, hence the need for a biologial bond.
Trust me, much that goes on with our emotions has a lot of biological, instinctual urges that are really "hard-wired" in our genes and are millons of years old.
It sucks but the more you do it (breaking up) the easier it is and time will make it disappear... poof! all gone.
You don't want to be attached to a loser just because you are young and "in love"... that's a road to hell.

Grow up! Move on! Get over it!
If your heart is broken that's good because you are not in a relationship that is destined to failure.

When you learn why, let me know. I didn't just get a broken heart, I got a shattered soul. I'm still trying to put the pieces back together after all these years.

Because you put all of your heart, soul and trust in this person, and they abandoned you. Unfortunately it happens, that is why God is the ONLY one who won't forsake you. I had to figure out the hard way, a girl broke up with me out of thin air, and I was broken, but God mended me and now I am stronger than ever. Trust God, trust also in His Son Jesus Christ, and all will be well.

Lets look at your question realistically. If you actually had a broken heart, chances are pretty good you'd be close to death right now. Good luck to ya!

Because u don't think that you'll be able to love again. But if that person broke your heart then they'll get theirs. And it will take some time but you will over come it.
