I have been a hairstylist for 30 years and I want to go back to school and get my Lis.. to teach cosmetology. I am 50 and wonder if it would be worth my time to go back to school. Do you think at my age I would be considered for a job over the younger people applying for a job.I know sooner or later II will have to get off my feet.

Go for it! Good Luck...Why wouldn't someone with all your years of experience be accepted. I am older than you and if I wanted to do something I would.......some people today do not want to work, you will bring a good strong work ethic and experience with you. You will do Great!!!

No it is not worth your time to go back to school. No, you wouldn't be considered for a job because people like new fresh ideas, and new fashion and new styles, and I don't think people trust their hair with a 50 year old woman.

I think that it is never too late to go back to school. I am a Chemistry major, and I noticed a lot of older adults in my chemistry/math classes. I think that if you want to do it and you have time, you honestly should.
