I realized something aobut different religions. All tend to teach the same lessons or similar lessons but the wording is just different. For example, karma in Buddhaism, if you do good things, good things will happen to you. You do bad things, bad stuff happens. I currently volunteer at a Christian hospital and I a lot of people tell me that the Lord is going to bless me because of the charity I do. So I'm guessing that their meaning is that because I do good things, the Lord is going to give me a good life. And I'm assuming that if one does bad things, the devil will get them. Do you agree? if you don't what is your opinion?

Yes, I would agree with you. All religions tend to teach the same lessons, and the wording is different. The wording 'detail' wouldn't be a problem if less people were obsessed with the words themselves, instead of the teaching.

I don't agree. I don't agree that the Lord blesses you in this life because of your good works. There are many people in the world who do great works, and are severely persecuted. As a Christian, you will have God with you throughout your life, through the blessings and the trials.

This is a bad theology, promoted by many modernists. They want people to come to church, come to Christ, expecting an exchange, in this life, for their deeds. This is esentially the theology of the saduccees, who did not believe in the resurrection.

The fact is, we all have various blessings and challenges. Some have more of one than others. What we do with what we are given is what is measured. There is no shame in suffering and the great saints of history all embraced it.

Christianity, is the only one that teaches Jesus Christ. According to The Holy Bible, there is ON GOD, ONE SON, ONE SPIRIT.

You go with what you think is right. There is only ONE True God.
A lot of people claim they have found this God in different ways. Jesus Christ said, The only way to The father is through The Son.

Good Luck.

Give yourself credit. If you are doing charitable work, you are blessing yourself.

Our thoughts today bring us our tomorrows. That is what will influence your life, not an outside source. If you are empathic and help others, you are the blessing to many. Keep up the good work!
