You have to admit your loss.
May 1, 2006 will be rembered in history as the day that contributed so much towards ending bigotry and hatred in the USA.
Our job now is to win over the intermediary and base political leaders to have no illusions about what their leaders are doing in Washington, D.C. And be true to their constituencies, be true to the base, be true to the immigrants, and work with us to build the strongest, mightiest immigrant rights movement in America, which will spill over across all borders throughout the world.
Because our fight, brothers and sisters, is a fight to carry the message that the working class is an international class, and it has no borders.
Not a cent should be paid. You can deduct that from the profits made off the backs of undocumented workers in the USA.

About $3200 and some part of their back taxes (although how on earth they will figure out what those should have been is beyond me.)
It isn't law however, it is just a provision in the Senate bill. The Senate Bill is so popular that even though it passed the Senate in May, Senators are still disputing whether to even send it to the House so work on a compromise may begin -- if the House feels like it.

Most illegals are undocumented and come here to the US to work "under the table," meaning there is no written proof of their income. Since they are undocumented, their identities are completely unknown. So, how can we go after them and ask them to pay a fine?

if they cant make payments then they wont become legal!! and i think most illegals wanna become legal!! i mean it's not like they're living it up down there.
i think most of them will be able to make payments if they can pay thousands of dollars to laywers to adjust their status and end up losing their cases or gettin ripped off by a conartist, they can pay whatever say $10,000 fine!! plus paying tax!!! that's a lotta money and i think this money will build that wall!!!

Beantowngirl...leogirl....catbacker.. c'mon now..
In order for you to pay taxes you need a social security card
Illegals dont have those......... least not real ones.
Thats what makes them....... Illegal
Im not sure howd theyd make the payments.
Im not sure theyd even bother to become legal
All theyre interested in is not getting deported
If we left them alone theyd continue to be undocumented forever i imagine.
We'd have to find them to fine them.

They pay taxes...sure...but they also use more welfare than anyone, so they're getting all that money back.
I think they should all just be deported. If they want to be citizens they can do it the right way and follow the law.

Pay money? That's ridiculous. Nobody should have to PAY to be an American. They'll have taxes just like everybody else. That's good enough.

I think the fine should be the difference between what they pay in taxes and what it cost us for them to be here. So Its going to be around 12.5 million per illegal.

A lot has been said, little has been done.
Bush has promised to send troops to the border and that hasn't happened, either.
Bush promised a fence.....but guess what.....not going to happen.
Lots and lots of words....no action.....just the same political tap dance.
