Yes it should be legalized. I have 2 sons, 1 is ADD & the other is ADHD. The ADD son was on medication which in turn was damaging his liver, kidneys, he had headaches from the up & down of the medication & as he got older he switched to Marijuana. They say it burns your brain cells but for a person who is so hyper it brings them to a normal level & allows them to function as a normal person. He got tired of the medication & all the disfunctions it created. When he is under the influence of weed he is more normal, calm, & functions soooo much better than the Ritalin or other methamphetimines that soo many people abuse today. If they can legalize meth for medical purposes why not weed? The weed does less damage than the meth & that is documented.

YES,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it is about 30 to 35 yrs overdue in the USA......the FDA approves other drugs only to recall them after death and serious side affects overcome people who take them but the God fearing punkass congressmen/women of the USA refuse to catch up to modern times and legalize pot. It makes no sense at all to me. the USA should look to Holland as an example. Weed and prostitution have been legal there for many years and I think they do just fine over there. I do not know of any major problems that Holland has with the fact that they have legalized what the USA has called "sinful habits"......the problem is that our hypocritical Congress people do not want to "rock the boat" or speak out against their party lines for fear of being thrown off the "gravy train" and have their high salary party job gone to hell. I think they need to wake up and catch up with the times. I really dont think the USA would be in any worse shape than it is right now if its people were stoned on pot !!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes leagalize marijuana... however, there is a far greater stigma to "weed" than there is to alcohol. During prohobition, alcohol was illegal, and it made demand and price skyrocket. Legalizing marijuana, with guidelines of usage of course, would not only cripple the base of the drug market, but it would also cut down usage of weed. how many people do you know that were binge drinkers in high school.. b/c all the alcohol they could drink is at a party? and then when they turn 21... drinking is no big deal.. you could get it anytime... same with weed...

If we were to legalize weed, then it would be MUCH easier to get at no risk. Can you imagine how many more people would have it? Alchohol is so deadly because it's legal and people don't think it's as dangerous as weed, why would you legalize something that's harmful to people? Part of the reason Smoking and alchohol is legal is because people were already hooked before they realized it was harmful and it'd be too hard to force everyone to stop.

I think pot is about the most appalling habit in the world, but I can't for the life of me think of a good reason for its illegality, particularly not when alcohol and cigarettes are legal for over-21s.

Of course it should be legalized - especially for people who need it for medical reasons (in CA, it IS legal for those reasons, as far as the state is concerned, but the Feds occasionally raid the pot parlors.) It's far less harmful than either booze or cigarettes.

It should be legalized with the same restrictions and laws common to alcohol except for the cultivation.

the reason they dont legalise pot, is because u can grow it yourself, therefore they cant get u with the huge taxes that they put on grog and ciggies. so they keep it illegal so they can get money out of u when u get busted, ie fines etc.

Yes, and try to tax it damnit! The key to everything is moderation. If a person is too stupid for their own good then that's their problem.
