Poor immigrants should use welfare IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY!!! If one is so poor, how can you just up and move to a whole new country? Shouldn't these immigrants try to make their lives better in their own country? Then, come to the grand ole U.S of A. when they have something to offer the economy instead of draining it. Interesting question. First, not all immigrants are poor, nor do they all take welfare if they are poor. Secondly, if you look at the numbers of people on welfare, you would see that the vast majority are native-born, not immigrants. Thirdly, those immigrants that take welfare historically do so for a short period of time to get on their feet, unlike native-borns that make it a way of lifetime income. Many immigrants are small business owners who work hard and provide jobs for others.

what is wrong with them actually finding a job if they are perfectly capable of doing that. many of these people come to this country so that they can suck off the system, and we are the suckers who are paying for it. my parents came to this country with nothing they actually had to have a sponsor tho come here , they never went on welfare they found jobs as soon as they could and they provided for our family, they are living the american dream because of thier hard work and sacrifice. some people do need help from welfare lilke the disabled or single mom who needs help, it is supposed to be a temporary thing, not a family trait that some people pass on tho thier children from generation to generation. there are plently of jobs out there for everyone.

Your ignorance belies you! Welfare is a social benefit paid for by legal citizens of the USA and so is only for the benefit of legal citizens of the USA. Illegal immigrants do not pay into these social benefits and so are not entitled to them. They should return to their own countries if they want to go on welfare.
