Religion is overrated. A relationship with Christ is where it's at. We are all one faith. We are under the authority of Jesus Christ whether we realize it or not or have accepted that fact or not. Doctrine and names over church doors are all man made and will one day come to ruin. We are all made in the image of Christ and in that way we are intertwined and his word says that would should "love one another." But HE is the one and only way to heaven,,there is no other.

All people should follow the true religion which is Islam. We believe that all prophets like Abraham and Moses brought the truths but that man got things wrong over time. Christians also believe this which is why they believe in these prophets but believe Jesus' arrival was the last revelation. Muslims do not believe Jesus was divine but we do believe he brought the truth of God. Unfortunately, because the bible was written by his disciples and not by Jesus himself, we believe man once again messed things up. Muhammad was the last Messenger and the words of God were given to him through the archangel Gabriel. These words were put on paper over time as it was revealed and these words have never been altered. God is brilliant and he set the Quran up in a mathematical sequence to make any alterations easy to spot. It is written in beautiful poetic Arabic so unlike the spoken language of that time.
I will make it clear though that these sick terrorists are not real Muslims and follow their own political ideologies using the name of God to justify murder. They are wrong and if they followed the Quran and only the Quran, they would not do the things they do. And as for all the lies non-Muslims write about the words of the Quran, I would like to know how many speak and read Arabic. You cannot trust any translations because people interpret things differently. If Americans interpret the Constitution which is written in English differently, then imagine interpreting a complex book. I would never trust an interpretation of an Arab man with his embedded ideas of women being below men that existed before Islam. You can only know if you read it for yourself.
While things would be better, the Quran acknowledges that it will never happen. Judgment Day will come before then.

Well unlike the question before me I believe in the TRUE RELIGION CATHOLICISM. I believe that "christians" should all become catholic again. The bible clearly states that there shouldn't be a division in the church. Also Peter is the ONLY one Jesus(peace be upon him) told to start a church, am I right or not? He didn't tell any other diciple to do that. If He told peter to start a church then wouldn't you listen to the person Jesus told to start the church. If you are really christians and believe Jesus is the son of God, and that he was perfect then how can you not listen to the man he said to listen to. That kills me with christians. It clearly states that in matthew 16:17-19. He told him to start the church. So why aren't you catholic? because you don't like the pope? You don't like the president but you can still be american. You don't like your mom but you're not changing ya last name, so You can be catholic but not like our ways. The only thing we ask of you is to believe in the church, believe in the holy trinity, and believe in God. Jews I guess have a vendetta against jesus for who knows why because he did nothing wrong but only did miracles. I think to be catholic is the best religion to go to because Jews just have to believe that Jesus was the son of God and the messiah, christians have to admit that they are going against the bible and come back home and Muslims have to agree that Jesus was perfect and the son of God because we basically have the same basis on what's right and what's wrong through the ten commandment and through cannon law and let them continue to pray 5 times a day cuz that is good, and contiune to call themselves muslims cuz that is just someone who submits to God. They also can believe in muhammad just accept jesus's divinity and we could be good. lol Ohh yeah in the bible it says that if you add anything to the 10 commandments that you have to live by them, (please look it up). That is how our cannon law is made,(for all of those who say we made up some ****)

Personally, I think it is good for everyone to have their own ideas and open up lines of communication. Without debate and insight, things would remain stagnant. Religion is supposed to be a unifying force and should be updated for the times as appropriate. If we lump everyone into one category, there will still be differences of beliefs, so I don't think that would solve the problem of disunity.
To me, interfaith represents respect for one another, regardless of agreement. I think this is a better answer. There is no need to fight wars or force people into our own beliefs. It is everyone's right to seek their own truth and they should come to God willingly. Good question!
Best wishes.

Sure, but then they would not be true to there own beliefs. Plus, those who do not believe would still be a force to deal with. Once you have one religion, governments would say that this religion is against the law, punishable by death. You would either die for what you believe, or except the government dogma (sheep), and live life accordingly. Sounds almost like Communism.

There was only supposed to be one faith to begin with! The Scripture says that there is "ONE Lord, ONE faith, ONE baptism, ONE God and Father of all who is above all, through all and in you all." Man perverted God's word into different religions dating back to Adam and Eve trying to make their own clothing once they discovered the shame of their nakedness. The fig leaves being sewn together were man's first act of religion; trying to cover their sins by their own means instead of maintaining obedience in the first place. God made them the clothing of goatskins to show them that there would have to be a blood atonement for their sins from that day forward. There would be nothing but one faith had Adam and Eve not sinned, but since there is now sin rampant among us, true "interfaith" is no longer possible because of the potential for it to be manipulated by different sects to help them justify their own personal beliefs and lifestyles instead of simply complying with what "Thus sayeth the Lord........"

i think if you compared all the religious dogmas/text/theologies - like a great big religious Venn diagram - to extract only the purest and most absolute areas of commonality between all religions and faiths - you'd end up with a short but interesting book.

It's not possible for the religions that you list to come together as one. They are by nature exclusionary, believing that they are the only truth. There can be no compromise between them without compromising their central beliefs.

I agree - become atheists. It would solve a lot of problems. I'm sorry as I don't want to offend religious people out there but it's my point of view and that's it.
