What do I do with a guy who is really sweet and caring but just not my type? How do I tell him without hurting his feelings? He is so kind that I don't want to hurt him but at the same time I don't want to keep stringing him along so what do I do????
Can anybody help me out there please???????

Be upfront with him, tell him how much you care for him and how much you appreciate your friendship, and that you understand that he cares for you, but unfortunately you don't share the same feelings, but be prepared for him to be upset and possibly end the friendship, and if thats the case then he wasn't really a great friend to begin with, because true friends understand no matter what the circumstances may be!

You will do more to hurt him, by not telling him your feelings. So it's best that you be honest with him. It's better for you and him.
He may not be as devasted at you think, knowing that he is out of your league, so to speak, and is happy, just being your friend.
But it's best that he know the truth anyway.

this guy use to call me, but i though he was not my type so i blew him off. i was bored one night and he called me for dinner so i went. he tried to kiss me but i totally ignored him for a couple of weeks. he was very persistant in calling me and still wanting to go out with me i gave him another shot. and i totally fell for him. even though he is not my type at ALL i grew to love him for who he is, not for what he looks like.
we have been together for 2 years now.
tell him the truth, that is the only thing you can do.......

Tell him you have a date. He will get the point if he is smart. And he shouldn't be mad, unless he asked you on a real date before. If he hasn't made a move on you then he will wish he had before. Now its too late for him, get it?

I think you should tell him the truth and nothing but the truth because if you say he is a sweet and caring guy then he deserves the truth.
