Well I don't actually own it but I sell cars & therefore drive a "demo" Depending on where you live, a flex-fuel vehicle may be a good choice. They can use gasoline and/or ethanol fuel [E85] I prefer the Ford Hybrid Escape. Also Ford's got a Flex-Fuel Hybrid Escape , but it is still in "reserch & development" & therefore not yet available to the public for retail sale.

They are a HUGE waste of money. Buy any 3 or 4 cylinder Geo Metro or Sprint. They've been getting outstanding gas mileage (and better than most hybrids now) since the late 80's. Robert Q. Riley has a website for making Electric Cars for yourself if you are interested. Just Google his name and look it up.

Not yet. Ideally, I'd like to have an EV (fully electric car) and charge it with off-grid wind generated power, but when the CA laws that got them onto the market were weakened, the car companies that were making/selling EVs pulled them from the market and began buying them back on the secondary market to shred them so nobody could have them. Very few remain on the road, the owners aren't letting them go (can't blame them) and there is no plan in place by any car company to bring an EV back to market.

Hybrid, for a plethora of reasons. It's nice passing the gas station week after week and then when I do need to fill up I still pay less!

No Hybrids for me, ever.
Although I wouldn't mind something with a diesel engine, which is sort of considered an alertnative fuel here in the States.

No. I travel by car way too much and finding the proper fuel is next to impossible when I travel.

nope. I drive a 1983 K10 gas guzzling beast. Love the feel of a v8. My wife's truck is a Toyota tundra with a four banger. It's good for the long trips.

No. I have a friend who's father owns a diesel powered Toyota pick-up that runs off used vegetable oil. We teased that we could smell him before we saw him. No strange odors-just kidding him.
