True vegetarians don’t eat the flesh of animals. Full stop. End of story. Last time I looked things like fish, clams and other shellfish were still made of flesh. So obviously the answer to your question is NO. Well said VeggieTa - you got a thumbs up from me. I know exacly how you feel. This question is almost as annoying as the animal crackers one. ;) I don't class myself as a vegan because sometimes (about three times a year) I still eat fish. And I still wear a pair of leather shoes. I have had them for years and they are still in good condition, so don't want to throw them out just yet. But 99.99.99% of the time I follow a proper vegan based diet. But I don't “label” or call myself a vegan because obviously I am not one because of the fish consumption and leather shoes. So once I stop eating fish and throw the leather shoes out, I can call myself a vegan, since the vegan movement is a way of life, not just the food you eat. .

They are most definitely shellfish. If you are allergic to shellfish, eating them will probably give you a bad reaction, and you probably don't want to try it out just to be sure.

Yup. If it lives in the water and has a shell, it's a shellfish.
