I don't know, but I won't eat beans because of that! It's horrable which guys think it's so funny when you have gas, it's not funny to me!

They have long-chain proteins and carbohydrates in them which cannot be broken down, so when they get to the large intestine they ferment in the bacteria-rich environment, creating gas as a by-product..
