I just got home a minute ago and my cat is having kittens, I went to this site before, and it said to set up a little box with paper in it. So I did, but for some reason, she decided the litter box would be a better place to have kittens. The site also said it was a bad idea to try to move the cat while she still has more kittens left, should I still try to move her to the box with paper in it?

i think you should wait and let your cat finish having her kittens and then move her and the kittens in a more suitable area.

Leave her be for now. Cats tend to pick their own birth location, no matter how much effort you put into preparing a place for them. In a day or two you can move her and the kittens to a new place. Keep food and water near by for her so she can get to them easily when she's ready.

mama knows what she is doing. just leave her alone. make sure she has plenty to drink near by. she will more than likely move the kittens on her own. if this is her first litter, she may be a little confused about what is going on, but have no fear. she will figure it out. try not to get all worked up and worried about everything. this will make it harder for her. congratulations!

Just make sure the litter is clean. You can fix the nicest box in the world, but a cat aways decides where she will have her babies. Be glad it isn't on your bed like one of my mama cats decided to do!

No, if she thought that was a good place to have them then I would leave her alone. Besides if she decides not to eat the blood and stuff, it will be much eaier to clean up in the litter box :)

Yeh, wait until the kittens are finished being born. It must have felt to Mama Cat like she had to go poop.

Let mother nature take her course. You want her to be comfortable and who knows better than her if she is or not! Good luck and congrats! I love kittens!!!

no dont move her, just let her have her kittens and then she'll clean them up and then clean up the afterbirth. pretty disgusting but it gets done.
