Lack of self esteem. the great English tradition be the crowd, don't stand out, participation is good winning is not important!

Not true but heck most guys don't do much more than drink and go ape for football
maybe you should be looking for well travelled guys like Aussies and South Africans (English speaking at least)

It just seems that a particular guy or some guys that you are acquainted with a like that, but you seem to generalize all of them as boring and shy. I'm pretty sure there's as many cocky guys, as many arragant English men as there are of another ethnicity.

not all English men are boring. I'm an art student, I'm quite outgoing and random... just depends on the person!

my goodness you've met some gentlemen then cos you haven't been to Leeds. I dread to think what foreign girls make off a chat up line like..'I'll buy you and yer mate a drink if at least one of yer is up for a f*** later!' now that's not shy and not everyone would find it boring.

im shy in large groups but i wouldnt say im boring. and neither would my friends or gilefriend (she wouldnt say im shy either) so maybe you need to meet more english men we really arent that bad.

I am English. It is true that we are more reserved than much of the rest of the world, but once we get warmed up there is alot of passion to be released!

I don't know about that. I love their accent...it's to die for. I'm pretty sure there's gotta be a fun, outgoing, nice, respectful English guy somewhere.
