Maybe you could make a collage (collection of pictures all scattered on top of each other) of pictures of you and her or you and her siblings if you have any. Moms love that stuff... it makes them feel like all their years of hard work raising you have paid off. I think you are a darling child for wanting to do something nice for her. Best wishes

go to the dollar store and get a plain picture frame and have the 11 yr old decorate it with stuff around the house. Mom;s love stuff like that. You can use lace, glitter, old Christmas wrapping paper, bows, paints, straws, cartoon newspaper, shells, sand or colored sand, pebbles, markers, food coloring, old birthday cards, magazines-cut out words to make a saying on a card or the frame, one idea too would be to melt some old crayons in a cardboard egg carton with the oven and use a platic spoon to drizzle the wax on posterboard to make a picture to hang on the wall or to decorate anything but please have an adult around. Wax can get very hot and can be dangerous.
maybe make a dinner and have the 11 yr old help make it.
or dress up an old photo album she has or make a jewelry box out of an old small box around the house. decorate it with the stuff around the house.
Happy Crafting!

I'm thinking a picture of yourself, but you would have to spend money. Oh, I know, you can make a picture frame from a craftish idea (sorry, I'm not much on crafts so I can't help you there, kiddo), and you can have your dad pay for a professional to take a picture of you, dad, and other siblings or family pets...without your mum or else it won't be much of a surprise, now would it? Good luck!

I would try and look for freebies. Next time your at like Macy's or any type of body shop in the mall ask for samples of stuff like lotions and perfumes then make a basket for them. you have a good chance of getting the stuff. They always have it, so good luck and email me (maddierw@yahoo.com) if want some more ideas.
