I ordered a book but it's not coming until monday so I'm screwed right now, I have no clue what I can do.

Depending on how close she is you, you can get her a gift card for a favorite store of hers or a Restaurant gift card (I personally love those). Flowers are usually good to give. VISA or AMEX are always good choices because they can be used anywhere - a spa, a mall, any store, etc. But whatever you do, please let her know that the book you ordered is delayed and you'll give it to her when it is delivered. Then she will actually know you put some thought into her gift ahead of Time. She'll love that. Good luck.

Lady friend or girlfriend? There's a difference, you know. If she's a lady friend, I would say go with a gift certificate geared towards some of the things she likes. Slide the gift certificate in a card attached to a bouquet of flowers (nothing elaborate - something from the grocery store), explain that this is to tide her over until her original gift arrives and her birthday is saved!

Plan an afternoon on the spa have lunch extra to you.Have 3 diverse outfits waiting on your pal to placed on after she is complete being pampered(go back the different 2 and chop up the version of the only she picked)then have some extra friends at your position for a wonder party.

Jewelry always works and you can usually find something within any budget. Something as simple as a charm bracelet with some of her favorite things on it can make a wonderful birthday gift if given with love.

You could get her some "roses", a piece of "art collection" of her favorite color. Or stuffed animal of her favorite animal.
